Early onset, anyone?

A few weeks ago, I realized I don't know if I'm 25 or 26-years-old. I'm not sure how one loses track of her own age, but I finally took some time this afternoon to get to the bottom of this mystery.

And I am not above telling you that I had to use an online age calculator to determine that I am 25. I don't trust my own math skills when it comes to important things such as figuring out if I'm going to be 27 in a few months... or in a lot of months.

A lot of months it is!

Feeling young and spry. Woot.

Once someone asked my husband how old he is and he said very definitively, "I'm 25" and I said, "You're 26" and he said, again, very definitively, "I'm 26."

This was a couple years ago, but ever since then, he doesn't bother saying how old he is when people ask him; he just looks at me and asks how old he is. He's 28 now, by the way.

Along these same lines, I was looking at my college degree a couple weeks ago and noticed that it said I graduated in 2006. I FUH-REAKED out, as I have been telling people for years that I graduated in 2005. It took me a lot of counting and whatnot to figure out, "Okay, when did I graduate and how old was I when I graduated and how old am I now?"

Aaaand then I realized the degree said January 2006. I technically did graduate in December 2005.

it's okay - a few nights ago my dad was very sure that I was 24. I'm 26. Thanks, dad!

I totally know what you mean. I feel like once I turned 21, it has been so hard to remember how old I am. It's like these birthdays don't have an important milestone (16=driving, 18=adult, 21=legal) so I have no idea. I have to do mental math almost every time.

And let's just say, math is not my forte.

I totally forget how old I am. All the time. Last month I was somewhere and, when asked how old I was, didn't miss a beat with my response of, "Twenty-two."

Um, really? What the hell. I'm twenty-four. I wanted to start crying and tell Jay that our lives were going to be pretty much The Notebook from here on out.

I ALWAYS lose track of my own age. I attribute it to the fact that I'm not an "easy" age, like 20 or 25. 28 is odd, and the math is hard. It's completely normal for me to think I'm only 27 or 26!

I've had that moment too! And to think I make fun of my dad when he can't remember my age..

I do it too...maybe I don't like getting older? I was born in January, so at least I can (usually) quickly do the math...09-82 makes me...27. Darn.

I just know I'm not 30 (even though my husband tries to trick me into saying that I am)
