My bridal shower was this Saturday. And I'd like you to meet three of the newest loves of my life. (Click here for a closer look at the china pattern.)
My shower was incredibly beautiful and perfect. I'll post photos of it later this week after I collect them from about six different people's cameras.

Forgive me, I never had a shower, never even thought of having a shower so I don't know the answer to this. Are people supposed to get you TWO gifts? One for the shower, one for the wedding? Do you set up two registries or is it all from the same one? What if you get the bulk of it for your shower, do people just give you money?

Yes, the gifts come from the same registry as your standard wedding registries. People can give you a gift at the shower and typically mail you a wedding gift as the wedding date gets nearer. Of course, no gift is required but I guess society has kind of influenced our expectation of such things.
If you get most of what you want from your registry at your shower, people do tend to give money at the wedding I think.

I cuddled my kitchenaid mixer nightly for pretty much a month after I got it. Shawn was pretty annoyed but I don't care.
I LOVE YOUR TEAPOT! That's the exact one I want! Side note, I was in the mall with Samir the other day and saw your china pattern (which I still adore). I said to him, "you know my blog friend Amanda? That's the china pattern she's getting!" After saying that, I realized he a) didn't care and b) probably thought I was crazy for knowing a blog friend's china pattern. Psh, whatever. Blog friends rule!
