Meet the creature

Critter control set some traps yesterday. When Andrew came home from work, guess who was waiting for him in the trap? (P.S. They caught two others in traps in the attic!)

The landlord brought the trap outside for the critter control people to come and pick it up. They are supposed to release it to the wild (at least five miles from our house) tomorrow morning. My heart was breaking for the little guy, as it was freezing outside. I brought the cage inside and put some nuts and peanut butter filled pretzels through the bars. He's too scared to eat anything, but at least he's warm.

Want to see him for yourself?

Aw, I've always wanted a pet squirrel! If critter control's plan backfires he ends up back at your place, just send him my way!

If you had a cutesy, brown, tiny east coast squirrel, you wouldn't be as upset about his presence, I'm sure.

The scary black squirrels of death though? Frightening.

aw he was cute, poor thing. if it wasn't for all the destroying of stuff and the possibility of rabies you should have totally kept him ;)

Oh goodness! I don't think I'd be able to let him go...I'd want to keep him for a pet! Luckily, I have a very reasonable husband who'd force me to let go. Good Luck little guy!

Oh! He looks massive and very different from our squirrels, but what a cutie! (Out of the cage, though, he would scare me shitless, as well be able to devour many small dogs)

I wouldn't be able to give him up ^^ (okay, maybe I would.)

Wow, THREE critters? GO figure!

I love that you left him with food. Even if he is a critter, he's a critter who's hungry. :)
