Puke and Pride

I took yesterday off from work and my blog to take care of my sick lovebug. He's feeling much better today--so I must have done a good job. Thank the Lord for the flu shot. For me to not be all pukey and poopy (sorry, Andrew) was such a victory for my usually weak immune system. If you didn't get a flu shot (cough, Andrew, cough, cough) I don't understand you silly people. Oh, and one more thing... Heck Yeah! Photo Credit: New York Times Forget about that "elect" business. This is our country's PRESIDENT! Whoop! Whooop! Update: Could Andrew's mystery illness have been caused by... (dramatic pause) ... SALMONELLA POISONING? The world may never know.

I read your peanut butter post the other day and when I saw this, I immediately thought OH NO Salmonella! I hope he feels better soon!

The actual flu doesn't usually have GI symptoms (thanks doctor husband!) so perhaps...the crackers? Also stay clear - you could still get that puky ikyness.

I never get flu shots, but supposedly if you don't get the flu often, getting a shot will make it worse. Who knows!

I am SO proud of our new president!

I can't even IMAGINE how proud his wife is of him!

I haven't seen that picture, it's adorable!

Hope Andrew's feeling better soon.

I never, ever, ever get my flu shot. I haven't had the flu in years, but even so, I'd rather have it than go against that needle. *shudder (and that's my irrational fear of the day!)

did any of andrew's competitors fall ill? you should do some detective work... :) otherwise this would be quite a coincidence, lol. hope he's feeling better today.

Love the picture! I would throw out all the peanut butter because I wouldn't risk it. Salmonella is gross....

dude! I will not eat your poison crackers! I don't have an Amanda to take care of me if I end up pukey and poopy!

Hillary, I respect your decision. Perhaps there is a cheese filling that we could substitute for the peanut butter? The challenge must go on!

The dentist is the one place where I'll buck up and accept the needle, even if it makes me tear up a little. Ouchie.

I didn't get the flu shot . . . I really hope I don't end up like your merman.

I was sicky from both ends over the weekend. Mine can't be blamed on salmonella and instead is just God's way of saying, "Don't get too comfortable".

Eeek! I hope he feels better!

Also - Hello Obama. Welcome to the White House. May I borrow your daughter's blue jacket because, seriously, I want it.

I have had salmonella poisening before and the difference is the "head" symptoms. If your nose and sinuses are not congested, no cough, and no sore throat, then it is probably salmonella. It lasts for about 5-7 days......and it sucks HARD. You can still have a fever and body aches with it.

(eating chicken as I write this ;)

Matt got the flu over Christmas Break...which is surprising because that dude is NEVER sick. But I babied him like a good wife and he was better in no time! Yay-bama!
