Where does strawberry milk come from, smart guy?

I had a funny conversation with Lauren from Half Deserted Streets yesterday. She was frantic that she had just ruined one of her most precious childhood memories by discovering Olivia Newton-John was in fact, not singing about exercise in her song "Physical." Oh, Lauren. That video had a lot of us fooled.

To comfort her, I explained that I used to think chocolate milk came from brown cows. (Thanks to my cruel aunt who thought it would be funny to plant lies in the head of her sweet little niece.)

Tell me the strange things you believed as a child.

I believed than when it rained it was the angels peeing on us...oh yes I kid you not an thunder was God farting. Straight for my parents lips. How they could traumatize their child like that I don't know.

I will continue to believe it's about exercising! Sandy (a la Grease) would NEVER sing something so raunchy!

My 7th grade social studies teacher used to sing "physical" when we were talking about physical science. It might have been one of the worst things in my life.

I used to believe that because my zodiac sign is Cancer that it meant I would get cancer.

I also thought that I was going to grow up to become stranger danger. I was terrified of my future self. Yeah...I really don't know why.

I think most little girls thought that sex was just naked kissing. So when I had my Barbie and Ken dolls kissing with their clothes off, yes, I thought they were doing it.

My husband has the best one... his parents told him and his sisters that artichoke hearts had alcohol in them, so they weren't allowed to eat them. It was just their way of getting more of certain foods they liked, haha.

My mom told me that when people lie, their eyes change color. So whenever i wouldn't look her straight in the face, she'd know for sure because I didn't want her to see my eyes. Good trick, actually! i believed it for a long time, lol.

I believed there were tiny people inside stoplights. They would change the colors.

I beleived that if I accidently ate an apple pip, and then drank water, and apple tree would grow out of my nose(why I thought nose and not mouth, I do not know).

A tiny bit of me still panics when I swallow an apple pip.

Oh, believe me the song had nothing to do with exercising. In fact, she did 2 versions of the song, one was banned in the US for while, she had replaced "let's get physical" with "let's get animal" in a few places......Yeah..it was raunch.
